Maestro Blue is a vibrant and expressive red from the Stellenboschkloof vineyards, where weathered granite soils impart natural energy and youthful vigour to the fruit. Planted in 2004 and meticulously managed for optimal acidity and flavour concentration, the grapes are hand-sorted, naturally fermented whole, and undergo a two-week post-fermentation maceration before gentle pressing. A blend of Syrah, Durif, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Malbec, Maestro Blue shows lifted aromas of red and black berries, white pepper and spice, leading to a finely structured palate layered with ripe fruit, floral notes, and a lingering, elegant finish.

Deutz Marlborough Cuvee marries the best New Zealand grapes with traditional French Champagne-making techniques establishing a benchmark for New Zealand wine excellence.
